We've been having a few Internet troubles, that are hopefully resolved, but I've been collecting many photos from all our adventures that I've been unable to post. Just this little chickadee tonight, but I'll try and post a few more soon.

The weather has been warm and we are outside all we can, weeding, harvesting, playing at the beach, knitting. Soaking up all the sun we can before the leaves begin to fall.

Perry made a big chalkboard to hang in the space between our kitchen and living room. I am hoping this is going to help us keep track of things a bit better around here. The kids are keen for the giant art space.

We attended a bioblitz where the flora and fauna of an area was documented by many people over the course of a single day. Over 500 species were found. With all the rain we've had, the mushrooms were adundant. It poured rain all day long and the herd of kids played happily with sticks and moss and clay and dried cowparsnip stalks. It was hard to get the boys to come home after 8 hours playing in the rain with their friends!

We are back home and settling back in (crawling out under the piles of laundry) after a wonderful little trip. I'll post soon about our adventures!
